Document Classification: Public Statement of Corporate Intent, Binding Trust Commitments & Governance
1. How to Read This Document
This statement has three parts, and they do not carry the same weight.
Part A — Mission & Vision describes what Alonstech is trying to build and why. It is aspirational. It is not part of any agreement, creates no obligation, and is not a representation on which anyone is entitled to rely.
Part B — Trust Commitments is the small set of promises Alonstech is prepared to be held to. Part B alone is incorporated into the Master Terms of Service by its Section 17.4. Where Part B and the Terms differ, the Terms prevail.
Part C — Governance Framework describes how the company is run and how these documents are maintained. It is a description of internal practice, offered for transparency. It is not contractual.
2. Part A — Genesis & Founding Purpose
Modern infrastructure, real estate development, transport corridors, and land administration in India and across the globe depend fundamentally upon the precision of professional land surveyors, drone mapping pilots, and geospatial engineers. Every bridge, highway, port, cadastral partition, and urban township begins with a survey.
Yet the organisations and independent professionals who create, coordinate, measure, analyse, verify and deliver location-aware and technical work have long been underserved by mainstream software:
Generic cloud storage is ill-suited to spatial deliverables. Generic file-sharing links do not understand coordinate systems, cannot stream multi-gigabyte point clouds or very large orthomosaics, and offer no native spatial measurement or profile inspection.
A fragile chain of custody. Deliverables are often transmitted by unverified file transfer or physical hard drive, leaving no verifiable evidence of what exact dataset was delivered, when it was inspected, or who formally accepted it.
Retention models that treat the customer's record as leverage. A survey firm's work represents permanent cadastral and engineering liability that may need to be defended in court decades later. A commercial model in which that record becomes inaccessible because a subscription lapsed or a card expired is one we have chosen not to build.
Uncertain data residency. Where high-precision national survey coordinates are routed through infrastructure whose location is not established, the organisation carrying the regulatory obligation cannot demonstrate compliance.
GISweaver was created by Alons Advanced Technologies Private Limited as an independent, solo-founded startup, purpose-built as a sovereign, high-performance survey delivery and spatial analysis platform.
3. Part A — Our Vision & Mission
"To be India's most trusted, sovereign, and high-performance geospatial workspace — empowering surveyors, engineers, and infrastructure builders with absolute data integrity, uncompromised sovereignty, and accessible 2D/3D spatial computing."
We envision an engineering ecosystem in which every land survey, aerial capture and cadastral map is delivered with verifiable integrity, inspected in interactive 2D and 3D browser environments, and preserved without fear of arbitrary vendor lock-in or data loss.
Our Mission
Our mission is to reduce the friction between field acquisition, engineering review, and the legal evidentiary record, along six lines:
Precision without burden. Fast 2D and 3D spatial visualisation and browser-side terrain computing, without requiring a workstation.
Verifiable delivery. Replace unverified file drops with immutable, SHA-256 sealed survey releases whose history cannot be rewritten.
Sovereign data protection. Keep India's high-accuracy spatial coordinates, point clouds and cadastral boundaries within sovereign Indian borders.
Honest commercials. Payment state governs additions, never retention.
Privacy engineering. Sanitise image metadata at intake, and collect operational telemetry that is designed and checked to contain no personal or survey data.
Cloud portability. Build on open containers, PostgreSQL/PostGIS and S3-compatible contracts, so the platform remains portable.
4. Part A — What We Intend to Build Next
The following are directions of travel, not commitments, and nothing in this section is a representation that any capability exists:
Automated surface contour vector generation from elevation models (the Platform currently visualizes delivered CAD and vector contours, but does not derive contours from a surface).
Identity-verified acceptance, by a recipient organisation, of a release shared with it. Sharing itself is built and is described in Section 3.4 of the Terms of Service; recording that the recipient has ACCEPTED what they were sent is not.
Additional intake formats beyond those listed in Section 3.1 of the Terms of Service.
5. Part B — Trust Commitments
The commitments in this Part are incorporated into the Master Terms of Service by its Section 17.4 and are contractually binding on Alonstech. They are deliberately few, and deliberately narrow.
B1. Payment state governs additions; it never governs retention.
If a trial expires, a plan is downgraded, or a subscription lapses, the Organisation retains all existing branches, projects, point clouds and releases, together with permanent sign-in access, complete read access, and unrestricted export.
No automated sweep, dunning workflow, payment lapse, downgrade or commercial dispute causes Customer data to be deleted, archived, watermarked, obfuscated or degraded.
The only circumstances in which Customer data is removed or withheld are the narrow ones set out in Section 5.2 of the Terms of Service — a verified erasure request, legal compulsion, security containment, discontinuation of the Service on 180 days' notice with export maintained throughout, and force majeure — and the unconverted-trial provision at Section 4.7, which turns on six months of complete silence rather than on payment, and which any sign-in, export or payment ends immediately.
B2. Published releases are immutable, and the record survives erasure of the data.
A published survey release is sealed with a SHA-256 checksum and is append-only. Immutability is enforced inside the database itself, on every path by which a record could be altered, not by the application alone. A published release may make exactly one further transition, to superseded, and only with its identity, checksum and dates unchanged.
The release record — dates, state and checksum — is kept as a tombstone even where the underlying survey data is erased. Immutability of the record is not a refusal to erase data.
B3. Indian high-accuracy spatial data stays in India.
All data plane processing and storage for the India cell takes place in AWS Mumbai (
ap-south-1). Survey data finer than the DST threshold value does not transit foreign proxy layers, overseas caches or non-Indian storage systems.Edge services are confined to those Section 13 of the Privacy Policy lists: authoritative DNS, the sign-in challenge, the dispatch of email, the hosting of public documentation, and the access gate and proxy in front of the staff console. No content delivery network stands in front of the customer workspace, and no survey data passes through an edge service.
B4. We do not sell, mine or monetise your data.
We will never sell, mine, monetise or exploit your spatial datasets or client lists, and we will never artificially constrain your ability to export your own deliverables.
We employ no behavioural advertising tracker, session-replay script, cross-site aggregator or third-party analytics service.
B5. We tell you what is not built.
Where the Platform does not do something a reader might reasonably assume it does, we say so in the Terms of Service rather than leaving the assumption standing. The suspension of malware scanning, the formats we refuse, the absence of identity-verified acceptance by an organisation a release has been shared with, and the limits of what is derived from a delivery are all disclosed for that reason.
Where a safeguard is a commitment rather than an accomplished fact — the restore-and-exit drill at Section 10.3 of the Terms is the present example — we say which it is.
B6. Notice before change.
Material modifications to the Terms of Service or the Privacy Policy are notified to Organisation Owners not fewer than thirty (30) days before they take effect.
A new sub-processor processing personal data is published and notified on the same thirty-day basis, save where one must be replaced urgently to maintain security or availability.
6. Part C — Governance Framework
This Part describes internal practice. It is offered for transparency and is not contractual.
C1. Who is accountable
Alonstech is a private limited company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office in Kerala, India. GISweaver is developed and operated by a small team. Accountability for these documents, for the Trust Commitments in Part B, and for the decisions recorded below rests with the company's director, who is also the Privacy Contact and Grievance Officer named in Section 15 of the Privacy Policy. We do not claim a governance apparatus larger than the company is.
C2. Review cadence
The Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and this statement are reviewed at least once in every six (6) months, and on each occasion on which a shipped change alters what they describe.
Each document carries a version identifier, being the date of its publication.
Automated checks in our release process bind parts of these documents to the software they describe — the cookie inventory, the accepted intake formats, the role names, and the published grievance and support addresses — so that a change in one without the other stops a release rather than passing silently.
C3. Exceptions and escalation
Where a capability is suspended, time-boxed or not built, the condition for its reinstatement is written down with a date, and the date is treated as a commitment. The suspension of malware scanning at Section 3.1 of the Terms, with its 30 November 2026 backstop, is the current instance.
Where a claim in a published document is found to be untrue, the document is corrected in the same change as the finding, and the correction is recorded rather than made quietly.
Where a security or privacy gap is identified that cannot be closed immediately, it is recorded, given an owner and a date, and disclosed in the relevant document if a reader would otherwise be misled.
7. Part C — Regulatory Posture
Alons Advanced Technologies Private Limited operates GISweaver in accordance with the Guidelines for Acquiring and Producing Geospatial Data and Geospatial Data Services Including Maps (Department of Science and Technology, 15 February 2021) and the National Geospatial Policy, 2022 (S.O. 6095(E), notified 28 December 2022, which does not supersede the 2021 Guidelines).
Indian geospatial self-reliance. We support the liberalisation of the Indian geospatial sector and build indigenous technology so that Indian surveying and mapping enterprises can compete at global standards.
The negative list of sensitive attributes. The Guidelines provide for a negative list of sensitive attributes that may not be shown or labelled on a map. Explanation 1 to paragraph 8(iii) states expressly that there will not be any negative list of prohibited areas. We cooperate with the attribute restriction as it stands and do not represent that a prohibition on areas exists.
Domestic processing. We use Indian cloud data planes exclusively for processing geospatial data finer than the threshold value within Indian territory.
Data protection. The SPDI Rules, 2011 are the presently operative statutory security framework and we comply with them. The substantive provisions of the DPDP Act, 2023 are not yet in force; we have implemented their scheme voluntarily ahead of commencement, as set out in Section 2.3 of the Privacy Policy.
